ENDOVENOUS LASER THERAPY OF VARICOSE VEINS (EVLT)
INTRODUCING A NEW TREATMENT FOR SEVERE VARICOSE VEINS

Yorkville Vein Clinic is happy to now offer our patients EndoVenous Laser Ablation treatment or EVLT a new alternative to treating severe varicose veins. Using state-of-the-art ultrasound guided technology, we are able to eliminate the need for stripping surgery.

The technique delivers laser energy directly to the vein causing the vein to collapse and seal shut. Performed in our office, the procedure takes only aproximately 45 minutes following which patients can resume their normal daily activities.

With a 97% success rate for first time EVLT treatments, this method provides long-lasting results without requiring a hospital stay and with virtually no risk of scarring. Although this new treatment is not covered by OHIP, Its significant advantages over the traditional surgical approach has made it the preferred approach for a growing number of patients.
